Data protection and privacy are very important to Vidcam. In connection with our business, we only collect, store, process and use personal data of the Vidcam Platform’s users in full accordance with the legal requirements applicable.
In the following Privacy Policy, we inform the Vidcam users in detail about the type, scope and purpose of the collection, storage, processing and use of personal data and the measures that we implement in order to protect it.
By using the Vidcam Platform and Service, you expressly consent to the information handling practices described hereinafter.
If you do not want any information and/or personal data about you to be used as set forth in this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Vidcam Service. This Privacy Policy is expressly incorporated into our Terms of Service. Any use of the Vidcam Service and any personal information you provide through our Service is subject to this Privacy Policy at all times.
1. Data Collection
When using the Vidcam Service, we may collect several types of user data:
a) Data collected in connection with the use of the Platform
If you visit the Vidcam Website/Platform, our web-servers automatically collect and store standard internet log information and visitor behavior patterns, including the date, time and duration of access, the name and URL of the retrieved file or page, the website from which access is made (“Referrer-URL”), the operating system and browser used on your computer or mobile device, your mobile device type and the IP-address of the accessing computer or mobile device.
All of this information is collected and stored solely in anonymized form (see section 3. Google Analytics below) and will only be used for the purpose of statistical analysis and evaluation.
This anonymous data will be stored separately from the personal data that you possibly have submitted to Vidcam when registering and creating your User Account. We will not associate any of this automatically collected data with any personally identifying information from any other source, thus prohibiting any conclusions to be drawn about your personal identity.
b) Voluntarily submitted data:
Furthermore, we may collect, store and process personally identifiable data/personal data. Personal data encompasses individual details about personal or business relations of a specific or specifiable person (affected party), e.g. your own personal information such as name, address, telephone number and date of birth.
Vidcam will only acquire, process and use your personal data if you are using the Vidcam Platform via Facebook as a logged in user. In this case, we collect, process and use the data contained in your Facebook account and which Facebook provides to Vidcam via Facebook Connect, including but not limited to your name, user ID, e-mail address and other account information. None of this data will be stored or used by Vidcam for a long-term
c) Information from other sources/third parties.
We may collect information about you from third party sources, including from our partners, and from commercially available sources (such as data aggregators and public databases). For example, we may collect data that you authorized us to access through your use of Facebook Connect.
In general, the types and amount of personally identifiable information we collect vary depending on the activity. Vidcam endeavors to limit the collection of personally identifiable information to information we believe is minimally necessary to achieve our stated collection purposes.
2. Cookies
a) As well as many other websites today, Vidcam may use cookies. A cookie is a small text file containing an identifier - a string of alphanumeric characters - that is sent by our web-server to your browser, and stored on your computer. Each time the browser requests a page from the web-server, the identifier is sent back to the server which makes it possible to identify and track the web browser.
b) We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies on the website. While session cookies will be deleted from your computer when closing your browser, persistent cookies will remain stored on your computer until deleted, or until they reach a specified expiry date.
Vidcam will use the session cookies in particular to keep track of you whilst you navigate the website; prevent fraud and increase website security.
We will use the persistent cookies in order to enable our website to recognise you when you visit; keep track of your preferences in relation to the use of our website and for similar purposes.

c) Third-Party-Cookies: Our advertisers or partners may also send you cookies for the purpose of enabling the service of advertisements based on your previous visits to our website.

d) You can easily prevent all or only third party cookies from being saved on your computer by setting up your browser to not accept cookies or to notify you before the receipt of cookies, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. Furthermore, you can delete the cookies stored in your system file at any time. However, please be aware that some features or functions of our Platform may not work in the designated way or properly if cookie storage is not allowed.
